Access to Acupuncture
Access to Acupuncture was formed in 2007, and has been offering contract work on a not-for-profit basis since then within the NHS and Surestart Children’s centres.
The aims of the company are:
- To provide acupuncture to benefit groups and individuals who would not normally access acupuncture due to financial, cultural, geographical or other barriers;
- To undertake or promote research that will aid the understanding and use of acupuncture and allied therapies;
- To assist, co-operate or arrange for alliances with any organisations, institutions or establishment that will increase and widen access to acupuncture and further its integration into mainstream health, care and educational services.
Acupuncture is delivered free of charge at the point of care, as our work is funded by a mixture of charitable income and NHS funding.
